Kabus Oy manufactures buses and coaches exclusively for Koiviston Auto Corporation. The first express coach was built in 1977.

Koiviston Auto’s 80-year experience of bus traffic operation is one cornerstone in Kabus chassis and body design. Meeting the user demands means passenger comfort and safety, but also optimized fuel economy and low maintenance costs. In addition to the body, Kabus uses aluminum in the chassis, which makes Kabus vehicles approximately 2000-3000 kg lighter and 20 % more economical than equivalent vehicles.

Research is important part of Kabus Oy’s operations. Technical Research Center of Finland, Helsinki University of Technology and Tampere Polytechnics are Kabus Oy’s closest research partners. One of the most important research sector is energy efficiency.

Kabus has approximately 40 employees. The Kabus factory manufactures 20-30 vehicles annually in Lahti, Finland.
